About the videos

Apart from videos that are shown in YOUTUBE, additional video material is listed that has been produced by capturing interesting and unusual findings, surgical manoeuvres, as well as escape procedures during routine surgery “as it happens”. The quality of filmed material depends on the anatomic region that has been captured, the more anterior the better. However, every video has its message and crucial scenes are visible and commented.

Every manoeuvre has been captured, particularly those that carry imperfection, clumsiness, mistakes, pitfalls, etc. Only fragments with no action or those where the operative site was blocked by the head or the hand of the operators were removed. Nothing is hidden and all critical shots are commented.

Each video is preceded by the text and photos referring to the content of the video: preoperative findings, crucial scenes, manoeuvres that went wrong, the measures undertaken to overcome the difficulties, etc. that are all labeled by timely minutes to enable the user to get to the spot easily by forwarding or rewinding the footage with a precision (see the demo version). Postoperative photos are shown together with comments and ‘take home” messages at the end of every video.
